For no reason I can discern, I was thinking about the late actor Jack Wild yesterday. Wild was best known as The Artful Dodger in the movie version of “Oliver!”. [Sidebar: My childhood was riddled with library-rented musicals courtesy of my mom; Wild had a bit part in “Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves” that bugged me for *years* before the creation of IMDB.] …After thinking about Wild and getting “Consider Yourself” stuck in my own head, I wondered about a number of cast members including the kid who played Oliver!—only Fagin and TAD could I recall seeing in later films.
Then today I learn Oliver! is #MJ’s best friend, godfather to his children and claiming to be the father of those poor kids. WTF.
