[TF — as a web geek, I think the discussion about place & tech hubs has ramifications that trickle down well beyond funding. I’d also wonder about if there could ever be ‘location independence’ for job markets, compensation, managerial intelligence, business ethics, speed of teams & business, geek collaboration and even housing markets. If the web is not tied to a physical location, why the *hell* does place matter so much besides our collective choice to pick hubs?]
