The Inimitable Tiff

The online adventures of Tiff Fehr (@tiffehr), a UX engineerette at The New York Times. Feel free to peruse my somewhat popular geek-themed Tumblr, too, if that's your thing.

More personally than the above or below, I document notable adventures (much later than when they actually happen): Oktoberfest '04, Guatemala '08, Europe '10, Wisconsin '10, Middle East '11*. (* in progress)

Apr 12, 2008: RJD2 at Chop Suey

Melding the hip-hop tradition of raw, gritty samples with a more classical approach to song structure, RJD2 has concocted a style of production that pleases the most discerning hip-hop scholar without compromising that old dance floor aesthetic. Howlin’ Maggie’s Happy Chichester has been traveling the country performing solo on piano and guitar, and has been called a mixture of Bjork, Tom Waites and Prince. His live shows are each an insane and unique experience not to be missed.
