I hear that a new order of Knighthood is on the tapis—O.M.G. (Oh! My God!)—Shower it on the Admiralty!

This is the first believed use of “OMG” - it’s from a 1917 letter by British Admiral John “Jacky” Fisher. And to think, it took till this year to add OMG (as well as LOL and FYI and “muffin top”) to the Oxford English Dictionary. (via msnbc)

I’d like to know the first usage of OMGWTFBBQ, personally.
