It’s one thing to zip through 500 new items when they are organized by feed, quite another to have them all thrown in together. It’s like reading a seemingly endless stream of non sequiturs.
The Millions: A Scattering of Feeds (via Jaime)  This is acutally the effect I like.  Rather than downing in one author’s perspective, I group my feed reading by related topics:  finance, geek crap, books, music, real estate, etc.  You can read within groups, and a cross-section of perspectives within that topic is very refreshing.  It gives blog coverage (at least the portion I read) some timeliness and—occasionally—the spirit of debate.
