The Inimitable Tiff

The online adventures of Tiff Fehr (@tiffehr), a UX engineerette at The New York Times. Feel free to peruse my somewhat popular geek-themed Tumblr, too, if that's your thing.

More personally than the above or below, I document notable adventures (much later than when they actually happen): Oktoberfest '04, Guatemala '08, Europe '10, Wisconsin '10, Middle East '11*. (* in progress)

Fallond Stock Picks: New KIVA loans

A financial blog I follow uses membership and ad revenue to fund Kiva microfinance loans, which is pretty cool. Currently the site is funding 88 people on Kiva. As a Kiva lender myself, it’s a really compelling project. But this made my (snowy) day:
It should be noted I have experienced only 4 defaults (4.24%) which is above the average of 2.85% but I still think is real good considering - especially when you compare it to first world defaults on subprime loans….

First world rue FTW!
