The Inimitable Tiff

It took me 3 years to track down this song. I first heard it on bootlegs of Bela Fleck’s career-launching 1985 appearance at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, then again on a 1996 bootleg. Neither with names, and both live recordings with unclear vocals. But I finally tracked it down. Absolutely amazing lyrics, and impressive bluegrass arrangement (better live, of course) and Maura’s voice is endlessly beautiful. I need to learn to sing this one karaoke, on the off chance some songbook somewhere has the original Paul Brady version.
